The school was first established in 1987 and has venues in Weston Turville, Aston Clinton, Stoke Mandeville and Eaton Bray. We teach a variety of styles of dance: RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Modern and Jazz also a free style hip hop/street dance class. Pupils have the opportunity to enter for exams when we feel that they are ready, however exams are not in any way essential to your child’s progression through the syllabus. Classes are taught by fully qualified teachers.
We endeavour to have an annual event. This is in addition to regular examination sessions, that students may participate in. Every three years we stage a school show bringing together students from all of our classes. Our latest big production; ’It’s Time to Dance’ was staged in July 2023 at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury. In addition to this, pupils are selected and invited to dance at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London for ‘Young Performers’ charitable organisation, Disneyland Theme Park Paris and Portaventura Theme Park in Spain for the Mardi Gras Dance group. In May 2017 the school took 80 students to perform in ‘Stars in the Round’ at The Royal Albert Hall. This, as you can imagine, is an excellent experience for those participating as well as parents watching.
We currently have six teachers, Jo, Laura, Clo, Caroline, Emma and Ciara. The school is registered with the International Society of Dancers (ISTD) and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).
We also have a Facebook page and Instagram page which are both updated with news and information. Please see the link on the bottom of each of our pages for our Safeguarding Policies.
We are shocked and saddened by the news of the attack in Southport this summer, and our condolences and deepest sympathies go to the families of those killed and injured in this senseless attack on young dancers and their teachers.
While we know incidents like this are extremely rare, we recognise that many parents may feel anxious about ensuring the safety of their children in our care. We take safeguarding and child protection very seriously and have reviewed our policies. Our safeguarding policy can be viewed on this website or you may ask Jo at class to see our documents.
